Take A Walk

We are all so behind on posting as summer liven has taken hold. However here is a track that cannot be missed.

More to come this weekend, I promise.

Well it's Saturday and we need some music to play. Here are a couple of tracks. Cheers.

Every once in a while someone that you've never heard of takes the stage. This is one of those times: Joe Garston's track Forever is where it's at. I couldn't tell you who he is, but he's number 3 on Beatport. Give it a go though, you'll love it.

It's a rare occurrence that a veteran like Wolfgang is upstaged by someone whom you haven't heard of. But it's happened. Nonetheless, his new song Flexx is pretty fucking cool. Enjoy:

Modeselektor & Thom Yorke

In case you live under a rock, Thom Yorke is the lead singer of Radiohead. In this new project he has teamed up with electronic duo Modeselector. This is a collaboration you will not want to miss.

It's a day to celebrate, don't you think? So break out the booze and put on your dancing shoes, we're going ham. After all, yolo.

These four are of varying tranciness, but all thoroughly danceable. There's some bass in there, some uplifting chords, some cheesy lyrics: fun for the whole family.

Trancing through Tuesday

I have always been a champion of the harder styles and power trance is no exception. I have been slipping  DJs such at Heatbeat, Norin & Rad, Super8 & Tab and Leon Bolier into my posts lately because, put simply, they are the future. Just look at sets from Armin van Buuren (the godfather) and Above & Beyond (one of our absolute favorites) and the influence of power trancers becomes increasingly apparent. Here are some of my recent favorites. Cheers.

Borderline power trance, but a great track worthy of this post.

Me (Extended Mix) - Leon Bolier
This guy has one of the most unique sounds out there.

The Saga (Original Mix) - Gareth Emery
"The motherfuckin saga continues..."

- Shake

I love Heatbeat. This track is absolutely irresistible. Can't wait for the release.

All That Glitters Is Not Gold

Have to respectfully disagree with Thieves here. Sure Avicii's new track is shit, but Thomas Gold, on the other hand, has been killing the game of late. His single "Sing2Me" topped the Beatport charts for weeks and we have featured just about everything he has done since on Fuck Yeah Humans. Here are two more for ya.

Love the way he pans the chords in the intro here. Whether this is you type of jam or not, you have to admire this guy from a production standpoint.

Taking a classic and giving it a little extra umph.

Trance Without Pants Bonus:

I rarely if ever post truancy stuff here, but this one registers dangerously high on the brown note scale thanks to Mr Robinson's magic touch.

From Rome

This post is coming to you straight from Rome.  There's a bunch of big songs getting put out by lots of people you've probably heard of, which I'm going to skip posting, because most of the stuff getting put out by the big names right now is absolute shit in my opinion.  So I'm hoping I can post some songs for you guys that you won't see on every single other blog you may read.  Everything included here is Thieves-approved 100% in the bitch good-times music.

Starting things off with some funky glitch from a group I've never heard off but am excited to hear more from.  This is a straight-up party starter.

From one of the reigning kings of drum and bass comes this massive anthem.  Count on this as being one of the songs of the summer, maybe not on the main-stage but definitely on some of the more forward thinking side-stages.

Hot off the heals of huge remixes of Skream's "Anticipate" and Rusko's "Everyday," Netsky drops this melodic drum and bass monster, the first single from his forthcoming album.

Okay that's all I'm gonna post for now.  I've got some more songs lined up so expect another post in the next few days.
