Tam Trash

I love trance and I am fully in favor of our trance posts of late. That being said, it's time for something a little bigger and a lot dirtier. Tommy Trash, the Australian DJ/producer who has been absolutely crushing it lately, surely fits the bill. I leave you with four of my favorite tracks. It's Friday. Download them. Turn up the volume. Go do some human-ing. Cheers.

In Case You've Been Waiting

Language - Porter Robinson
Not Porter's best work if you ask me but still a solid track that will definitely get lots of play. This kid is just a notch or two above most guys out there technically and this song is no exception. Won't be surprised if it grows on me over the next few days.

Atom - Nari & Milani
Pure energy, I give this song five stars, two thumbs up and my highest stamp of approval.

Dannic

Dannic is an up and coming producer. He is somehow connected with Hardwell but aside from that I don't know much about him. I do know that I like this song. Somewhat reminiscent of David Guetta and Afrojack's Lunar which remains one of my favorite songs to this day.

Bonus:

Tank

Hey humans,

I never properly introduced myself yesterday. I'm Tank. I'll be sharing my love of EDM and my lust for trance with you all. Here are a few songs that have been getting a lot of exercise on my iPod lately:

Maor Levi

Hey humans,

I'll introduce myself by saying that I have a big old hard on for Maor Levi. The man can produce. I was lucky enough to see him perform last year at the release party for Anjunabeats Volume 9 and he absolutely tore it up. Here's a taste of what I consider to be Maor gold:

The heavy version of Maor Levi's latest original, produced with M.I.K.E..

Maor Levi takes Shiver & Lehtola's Slacker and (in the words of Chad & Dave) completely turns it on its head.

Nitrous Oxide's take on my favorite Maor Levi original. It's about as trancy as they come, but it'll still get you jumping.

These two songs were meant to be together and Maor Levi plays match-maker. I've been praying that this mashup gets released, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. Here's a rip from TATW to hold you over until it does.

Can you trance?

Over the last couple of days I have listened to the latest Trance Around The World shows and, put simply, there are some real gems in the batch. This is not really that surprising given that it is done by Above & Beyond, who cannot seem to sell tickets fast enough for their current Group Therapy Tour. The first track is by Maor Levi, an Anjunabeats staple, and Raul Siberdi, a relatively unknown producer for whom I can't seem to dig up much info.

This second track is by Matt Lange, a Berklee College of Music graduate, whose music "not only transcends genres but the beliefs of what is possible in modern electronic music." Not sure really sure what this means, but it seems like he is a smart guy and this is a great track.

Finally, I leave you with a remix of a track by Creep, the duo of DJ Lauren Flax and Lauren Dillard. They also add some vocals from Romy Madley Croft of The xx. Meanwhile, the duo of Super8 & Tab, aka Miika Eloranta and Janne Mansnerus, are both part of Anjunabeats.

Enjoy.

David Tort

Although he is not particularly well known in the States, David Tort is a DJ and producer who hails from Barcelona, Spain.  I saw him at a small venue last year and he played a phenomenal set. I have been a fan ever since. These are a couple of my favorites.

Mainstream RemiXXX Mondays part 6

If you recognize the name Michael Calfan it is because he is the producer of the prog house smash hit "Resurrection". Here he brings something a little different with a tasteful remix of Guetta & Minaj's "Turn Me On". Perfect for DJ's who wanna drop a familiar tune that goes a tad harder than the original.

Turn Me On (Michael Calfan Remix) - David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj

Happy Monday,

Joda version 1.0

Although I must admit I spent most of the weekend enjoying the live stream from Ultra, I did find some time in between sets to acquire some new tracks. The first is another epic by Marco V--and I just can't seem to get enough of this guy. He remixes Advanced by Marcel Woods and creates a great big-room house track. I know I am always talking about the Russians these days, and this post is no exception. Hard Rock Sofa takes Into the Air and combines the smooth vocals with some big drops to make a track worthy of mention. Finally, I leave you with a melodic progressive house track remixed by Save the Robot, a duo from Tel Aviv, Israel. Cheers.

In The Air (Hard Rock Sofa Remix) - Morgan Page, Sultan + Ned Shepard & BT feat. Angela McCluskey

Drive feat. Roberta Harrison &. Steven Taetz (Save The Robot Remix) - Kenneth Thomas

Oh Sunday

Another weekend is on the outs. So, in honor of whatever weekend festivities you may have participated in, I am giving you some trance to end things on a high note. The first is another great track by Heatbeat--the trance duo from Argentina. The second is a lowkey track by two talented Brits, Mike Foyle and Mat Zo. To finish things off, I have an uplifting song from the Russian sensation Arty. Enjoy.

Marco V

I have a special treat for you today. His name is Marco V and he is Dutch. Need I say more? Along with a couple of my favorite tracks, including a Marcel Woods Remix, there is a link for his set from Privilege in Buenos Aires, Argentina earlier this month. Cheers.

If you are only going to download one song by an artists you have never heard of, let this be it. Jerry Rekonius slays it on this track displaying versatility, chops, and musical sensibility.

Angger Dimas & Bassjackers

I can't say I've heard much from too many tracks from Angger Dimas. It may be because he is from Indonesia--a country not usually associated with electronic dance music scene. Meanwhile Bassjackers, the DJ/producer duo of Marlon Flohr and Ralph van Hilst are, according to their website, “taking over” and have recently received the support of many big names. It comes as no surprise that Angger Dimas and Bassjackers combine to create some excellence. I have also included some other must-haves by both. Enjoy.

Some vocal-filled goodness!

The track that made them famous. BIG

An oldy, but a goodie. A solid remix of an epic track.

Spaghetti

Remember that guy that put out the slappin remix of Felix Cartal's "Domo" that we posted here.
Well turns out he can make originals as well. Guess we better keep an eye on Pierce Fulton.

Thieves Update :)

Sorry I've been abscent lately.  Problems with my internet access have once again been making it hard for me to upload new songs, but I've decided fuck it, I'm just going to post links from other websites.  So forgive me if the songs you download have weird watermarks or say shit like Bacau House Mafia.com!!! in the track title.

More from the nasty Russian duo.  Been waiting for this one ever since Arty dropped it in his essential mix.  Absolutely irresistable.

If you listened to Porter's essential mix a while back you'll recognize this as the gut busting world exclusive he dropped near the end of his set.  Taking it to new levels with a progressive/electro hybrid.

My buddies Bastille just dropped this new Disco House monster.  If you like it I recommend you check out their soundcloud.

Un-fucking-believably uplifting.

New Eoto Live Show:

Just recently learned about these guys, but I'm loving their funky sound as well as this awesome live set up.  They're going on tour, and playing with some awesome company (ever heard of Sphongle???), so if your interested hop on over to their website.  They're playing 4/20 at Roseland Ballroom in New York with Sphongle.....

Happy human-ing,

Is Russia the new Sweden?

Russian DJs are absolutely on fire and their influence continues to grow. You may know Matisse & Sadko through their work with fellow Russian Arty on Trio, first dropped by SHM at MSG. Here are some other tracks that are worth a listen. Cheers.

Greyhound

Here is the track that we've all been waiting for from the Swedish House Mafia. However, after a few listens I have to report that I am somewhat disappointed. Though compositionally "Greyhound" is there best song to date, the production is muddy and inconsistent. Knowing how capable these three are as producers I am left with the feeling that they did not take the extra time to clean up the mix and realize the potential of this track.

That said, here is the track. Still goes hard.

Sprang Break

Whether your are on it or awaiting its arrival, you are gonna need some tunes to get you through spring break. These three are straight foreword house bangers from guys you might not be familiar with.

Clockwork - Squad Up EP

The big-room homie Clockwork is finally dropping his long anticipated Squad Up EP (it may not be long anticpated for you but I've been waiting for this shit for months) on March 13th on Dim Mak.  This guy has been making waves in my iTunes for a while now, but with a nomination for best break out producer in this year's Beatport awards and this huge EP set to drop, it looks like 2012 is going to be Clockwork's big year.  You can preview the EP below, which includes some sweet moombahton remixes from Dillon Francis and Torro Torro.  Also check out some of his older tracks that I've included.

Rave Bear Brings you tha Clockwork bonuses:

The Fix Part 3

Hope you've enjoyed my return to posting.  I'll keep posting regularly don't cha worry.  Got some greatsongs shot-gunned right now, along with a couple Thieves bootlegs...

House monster.

Three man super crew lays down something pretty inovative.

The Californian duo who Above & Beyond proclaimed to be the breakout producers of 2011, Norin & Rad, lend their remixing skills to a couple other modern American trance legends.

First heard this in Kyau & Albert's TATW 400 set and immediately loved it.  Think trance with folk music vocals.  Don't miss this one.

Enjoy humans,
