I love trance and I am fully in favor of our trance posts of late. That being said, it's time for something a little bigger and a lot dirtier. Pure energy, I give this song five stars, two thumbs up and my highest stamp of approval.

Dannic

Dannic is an up and coming producer. He is somehow connected with Hardwell but aside from that I don't know much about him. I do know that I like this song. Somewhat reminiscent of David Guetta and Afrojack's Lunar which remains one of my favorite songs to this day.

Hey humans,

I'll introduce myself by saying that I have a big old hard on for Maor Levi. The man can produce. I was lucky enough to see him perform last year at the release party for Anjunabeats Volume 9 and he absolutely tore it up. Here's a taste of what I consider to be Maor gold:

Mike Shiver & Matias Lehtola - Slacker (Maor Levi's Big Room Remix)

Maor Levi takes Shiver & Lehtola's Slacker and (in the words of Chad & Dave) completely turns it on its head.

Maor Levi & Raul Siberdi - Infatuation (Nitrous Oxide Remix)

Nitrous Oxide's take on my favorite Maor Levi original. It's about as trancy as they come, but it'll still get you jumping. 

OceanLab vs. Eric Prydz - Breaking 2Night (Maor Levi Mashup) [TATW RIP]

These two songs were meant to be together and Maor Levi plays match-maker. I've been praying that this mashup gets released, but I don't see that happening anytime soon. Here's a rip from TATW to hold you over until it does.

Can you trance?

Over the last couple of days I have listened to the latest Trance Around The World shows and, put simply, there are some real gems in the batch. This is not really that surprising given that it is done by Above & Beyond, who cannot seem to sell tickets fast enough for their current Group Therapy Tour. The first track is by Maor Levi, an Anjunabeats staple, and Raul Siberdi, a relatively unknown producer for whom I can't seem to dig up much info.

Infatuation (Original Mix) - Maor Levi & Raul Siberdi 

This second track is by Matt Lange, a Berklee College of Music graduate, whose music "not only transcends genres but the beliefs of what is possible in modern electronic music." Not sure really sure what this means, but it seems like he is a smart guy and this is a great track. 

Bad Year Blimp (Original Mix) - Matt Lange 

Finally, I leave you with a remix of a track by Creep, the duo of DJ Lauren Flax and Lauren Dillard. They also add some vocals from Romy Madley Croft of The xx. Meanwhile, the duo of Super8 & Tab, aka Miika Eloranta and Janne Mansnerus, are both part of Anjunabeats.

David Tort

Although he is not particularly well known in the States, David Tort is a DJ and producer who hails from Barcelona, Spain.  I saw him at a small venue last year and he played a phenomenal set. I have been a fan ever since. These are a couple of my favorites.

Mainstream RemiXXX Mondays part 6

If you recognize the name Michael Calfan it is because he is the producer of the prog house smash hit "Resurrection". Here he brings something a little different with a tasteful remix of Guetta & Minaj's "Turn Me On". Perfect for DJ's who wanna drop a familiar tune that goes a tad harder than the original.
